About Bequesta
A Practice Built on
Care and Quiet Purpose
We started Bequesta because we saw how many families carried unnecessary weight — important records scattered, stories left untold. Our work is simple: we help people bring order to both.

How Bequesta Came to Be
Bequesta was founded in Bangkok in 2019 by a small team who had each witnessed, in different ways, the difficulties that arise when a family's important records are not in order. Papers held in multiple locations, documents in unfamiliar languages, and personal wishes that had never quite been written down. Not a crisis, but a quiet weight that the people left managing it had to carry.
The name comes from a combination of bequest — the act of leaving something meaningful behind — and the Italian word questa, meaning "this one," reflecting the belief that each family's situation is particular and deserves individual attention. We are not a firm that processes hundreds of clients through a standard product. Each session is shaped around the specific person or family we are working with.
We are based in Lumphini, in the heart of Bangkok, and our clients include long-term expat families, Thai families with international connections, and community organisations that manage records on behalf of their members. What they share is a wish to be more prepared — and a preference for doing that calmly, without pressure, and with clear information.
Our approach has always been to work alongside people rather than at them. We sit at the table with you, or at your kitchen bench, and work through things together. We are clear about the limits of what we do: we provide general education, document organisation support, and process information only. We do not offer legal advice and we do not prepare binding documents of any kind. When a question falls outside our scope, we say so.
Over the years since we opened, we have worked with individuals ranging from people in their thirties who simply want to feel more organised, to individuals in their seventies who want to record their history for the next generation. We have also supported several community groups and small family offices in Bangkok who needed clearer internal processes for storing personal records.
Our mission, simply put: to make it a little easier for families to feel prepared, and to help the stories and values that matter most to them find a form that will last.

How We Work
Our Standards & Approach
Every Bequesta session is shaped by a consistent set of principles that guide how we work with clients.
Strict Information Handling
Personal information shared during sessions is handled with complete discretion. We collect only what is necessary, store it securely, and never share it without your knowledge.
Transparent Scope
We are always clear about what our services include and what they do not. There is no regulated activity, no legal advice, and no outcome assurance in anything we provide.
Clear Communication
We use plain language throughout — in our sessions, in our written materials, and in any follow-up we provide. If something needs further explanation, we take the time to give it.
Your Pace, Always
Sessions are not timed in a way that creates pressure. We work at the pace that feels right for you or your family, and there is never a push to cover more than you are comfortable with.
Written Session Records
We provide a written summary of each session — what was covered, any recommended next steps, and any materials produced. You leave with a clear record of what happened.
Ongoing Access to Information
After a session, clients are welcome to reach out with follow-up questions about the educational content we covered. We aim to respond within one working day.
Document Organisation & Legacy Preservation in Bangkok
Bequesta operates in a space that many families reach for but few services address directly: the practical and personal work of gathering important household records, understanding what you have, and making sure that meaningful history is captured in some form before the moment passes. This is not legal work — it is organisational and educational work, and it requires patience, sensitivity, and a genuine understanding of the families involved.
Bangkok brings its own particular context. International families often hold documents across multiple countries and in multiple languages. Thai families with overseas connections may find that standard filing approaches do not quite fit their situation. Community groups and family offices sometimes discover that their internal record-keeping has grown in an ad hoc way that makes retrieval and continuity difficult. All of these are situations Bequesta is well-placed to support.
Our approach draws on years of direct experience with individuals and families across a wide range of life stages and backgrounds. We have no proprietary methodology that we impose on clients — instead, we listen carefully, ask useful questions, and help people develop systems that fit how they actually live. The goal, always, is something sustainable and usable rather than something impressive that ends up ignored.
